iPhone X Screen noticeably dimming when in warm temps?

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been covered before. We are currently having hotter than usual weather in the UK and I have noticed that while outside the screen brightness steps down a couple of times in the heat. Even though its on full brightness it becomes hard see. As far as I can tell this is due to the heat so I presume this is a regular occurrence for people on this forum who live in hot countries?

Well know fact. You phone is decreasing g brightness to cool down. It is a protection feature and can happen to anyone in hot weather using their phone in the sun.

Iphone 7+ same thing. Very annoying when I fly my cam drone.. And also always happens at the beach!

Normal. It's designed to do that.
Screen dimming out in bright hot sunlight is your cue that the phone is overheating. Stop using it, take it out of its case and wait for it to cool down.
