Why is this always so low before the battery dies?
I know there is no comparable stat in iOS but it's obvious to me that the battery on my 6S+ lasts way longer than my Xperia XZ. I can browse the web for 11+ hours before my iPhone dies but with the XZ it's around 6 hours tops. Yeah the battery is smaller but even a regular 4.7" iPhone can slay my Android when it comes to web-related battery drain. My Samsung tablet has poor battery life too, is this an Android thing?

Apple imo is the best at blending software with hardware. The advantage they have is they design the software and hardware. So everything is optimized to work efficiently together.
Much the sameway Blackberry was with their devices.
Google has done this with the Pixel to some extent as well.

I think it's because on iOS, when you are browsing the web, your device is doing pretty much only that with very few things, if any, running in the background. On Android there are always other processes running in the background doing goodness knows what. So you may be just surfing the web but you could still have several apps doing something you're not aware of. Probably updating themselves.

The exception I knew of back when I was still on it was the Facebook App. On iOS it drained my battery fast because it had all these little hooks into your device to do things, while all you are aware of doing is hitting "like" on the umpteenth variation on a post about othodox axolotl worshippers being denied the right to conduct baptisms in public fountains that your outraged activist cousin keeps reposting.
