Since my MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2012) (the non-retina kind), I've used Power Support's screen protectors and trackpad protector films. On top of giving my MacBook Pros anti-glare that inherently wasn't there originally, it's a pretty decent screen protector overall. While they did make screen protectors and trackpad films for every USB-C-equipped 13-inch MacBook Pro that has ever existed, they only seem to have done so for 15-inch MacBook Pros on the high-end. They don't appear to have made anything for the MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) or any MacBook Pro with differing dimensions/body-style released since then. Furthermore, they seem to have outright discontinued any screen protectors or trackpad films for all Macs.

Thankfully, I was able to get a set for the MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020) that I have. But, I also have a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) that I bought refurbished recently (still need a decent x86-64 Mac for virtualization and Windows). Obviously, Power Support isn't an option here (and it sounds like it never was going to be one). Does anyone out there have recommendations for something similar?

I've considered Moshi's and while I think I'd be cool with their trackpad films, I'm not the hugest on their screen protectors. Everything else I've come across seems like it's cheap, doesn't really offer me anti-glare, and/or from an unrecognizable Chinese brand that I have zero reason to trust on my now-$2300 Mac.

I still haven't found anything even remotely as good as what PowerSupport made. For a laptop sold as long as it was and as popular as it was, I cannot fathom that someone hasn't made a really good matte screen protector and trackpad protector for this machine. Seriously, if you know of something, PLEASE let me know!

I'm in the same boat as you. Not much information on this to find.
Yes, no matter how careful you are, it's unavoidable that the display gets some kind of smear/dirt/dust on it after some time.
With the staingate dilemma, I want to be able to clean the display without the fear of damaging the anti-reflective coating.
Apple simply says to use a soft, lint-free cloth with plain water. Does this actually not harm the coating?
I have a 2020 13" MBP and never dared to clean it.
Now I've ordered the same model as you (2019 16" MBP refurbished) and want to protect the screen is as best as possible from day one.
The warning from Apple not to use screen protectors probably refers to the added thickness and therefore the danger of the keyboard touching the screen?
Do these glass protectors with silicone film leave residue on the screen after removing them or affect the anti-reflective coating?
Any recommendations/news for said 2019 16" model?
