Hi guys, this is my first Topic in this forum.

Its very difficult here in Thailand to get the touch 5, so i guess i have to order from apple store. However, i plan to not put on any screen protector and case on my IPT 5 because the color is already cool (i plan to order blue) and i think they make it thin for a reason. Why thicken it.

Any of your guys go naked on the IPT 5? need some advice.

Also i used to own the touch 4 and i put the case on to avoid scratch on the back but i leave the front quardless.

My iPhone 5 is naked, and I have an iPod touch 5th gen on the way that I ordered to have extra storage space and to use around the house sometimes, and it will also be naked. I haven't had a case on any o my I devices since the final year of my contract on my iPhone 4. I am pretty careful with them, though.

I recommend getting a skin for your IPT5 rather than going completely naked on your IPT5. It works well for avoiding scratches etc and doesn't have the bulk of a case.

I have a question for everyone that already has their new iTouch 5G , Im getting mine tomorrow and planning on buying a case for it but then I think about it... do I need a screen protector too? does the screen scratches easily? has anyone noticed any scratches?

Actually I do not own a iPod touch 5th gen, but I do have the 4th gen. My itouch has been around with me since Dec 2011, and other than scratches at the aluminium back because I do not fancy putting a case on, the glass screen is relatively fine. The glass screen won't be that susceptible to scratches I think, I actually dropped it once flat down on the track while jogging and it didn't have a single scratch. However, fingerprints will definitely be there unless you put on some anti-fingerprint protector. Most of the time I just use my shirt to wipe it off. And since I'm assuming the 5th gen to have a better quality front glass, I do not think it will be necessary to put on a protector. The back is anodized aluminium, similar to the one on the iPhone 5, so I think it'll be fine too.

VERY VERY VERY VERY Cheap Cases that is Great.

I bought this case also and it's on the way. Does the case help the iPod Touch lay more flat on the table? They say the extended back camera makes it lie less flat.

Thanks!

I have the same case and it adds a few mm which does make it lay flat on a table.

I believe any screen will scratch overtime if you put it in your purse/pockets with keys because it has happened to all my devices which claim to be scratchproof. Think of scratch resistant as more resistant to scratch not 100% guaranteed(think condoms :)). If i were you i would buy a screen protector just for peace of mind instead of freaking out about a lil tiny scratch which would drive some people with OCD crazy. I bought a 3 pack screen protector off ebay for 5 bucks and it does what it does.
