Hey everyone. Recently I bought MBP14. I'd like to purchase screen protector and keyboard protective layer, too, but I don't know which products exist and I don't know which product to buy. I was hoping Moshi would have these products for MBP14 ready to purchase but I see the Moshi ones don't exist yet. So here are my questions:

1. Do you readers know why Moshi doesnt have MBP14 versions for screen protector and keyboard cover -- i.e., is it just slow pace or perhaps is there a constraint originating from MBP14 itself?

2. Would you readers please recommend / discuss MBP14 screen protectors and keyboard covers that do currently exist?

Thank you!

I do not recommend using a keyboard cover, unless you are going to remove it every time you close the display. I've heard and seen far too many stories of people cracking their displays because of the minimal clearance. Even Apple doesn't recommend it.

just installed this on my 14
Thank you for this link! Would you please give details? Here are some questions I have in mind.

1. Do you like the product?

2. Is it difficult to install?

3. Does it diminish the display? I hear so much hype about MBP14 display but, to my eyes, the distinguishing features don't really stand out. ProMotion? Good 'contrast ratio'? ... Does this product diminish those things?

4. It's a one-use product, correct -- i.e., no way to wash it and then reapply? Moshi screen protector is washable although I've not removed it.

5. If someone were to use the product for a while--years?--and then remove it, would there be a sticky layer on the display itself, as is common for iPhone screen protectors?

Thank you for all this!

yeah its kinda difficult to install, i find it more difficult than my wife's mba, mainly because the bottom ridge isn't as protrude so its harder to line it up correctly, it doesn't use any adhesive if thats what you're asking, and it comes in pack of 2, and its cheap enough that if you managed to mess up twice you can just order another 2 set, but i doubt that if u know what you're doing. i already removed it once cause some dust managed to get under.

as for screen quality, it kinda gives it a mattish feel, i don't really notice any diminishing to the display, if anything it makes the experience easier cause less sunlight is bouncing off. i didn't buy this for the screen display, mainly i got it for the 64gb ram capacity for work.

So finally pulled the trigger on the MBP 14" and looking to put a matte screen protector on. I've used PowerSupport (made in Japan) previously as they are the best. (albeit pricey). I wouldn't bother with the $5 chinese crap on Amazon, nor do I want Anti Blue light or anything ****ing with the colors. I'm on the spectrum and super sensitive to harsh reflections. Like I will spend days researching cos they bug me so much.

Many moons ago I started with a cheap matte protector and couldn't believe the difference a high quality multi-layered protector makes. The biggest difference is in the pixelation effect and transmisability of the light.

Sadly PowerSupport doesn't offer anything for the M1. I have found Upscreen which is made in Germany but will probably take a month to ship and no english reviews.

Might go ahead and order it anyway.. for science and ya'll. ;)

Last week I tried-out one of those easy-to-affix products having a magnetic strip on the top edge but nothing on the bottom edge. It is indeed easy to affix but, as users say in Amazon reviews, there's problems once the screen becomes angled under 90 degrees. Plus: These easy-to-affix products are pitched as 'privacy' accessories and so the brightness takes a big hit.

So far I'm liking the 'Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector' product. Installation less difficult than I thought it'd be -- no bubbles. It's glossy but I can live with that. It's better than 'magnetic strip' products, I say, because the bottom edge doesn't detach and because the glass isn't darkened.

Looks good!

Yeah I specifically need matte/anti-glare and protection, but that's a nice protection only option.

Unfortunately upscreen doesn't ship to the US. I found an ebay shipper that will ship Dipos brand from Germany for an additional $35 lolol. But yeah dunno if I want to wait weeks and not even sure if it's good. I do like that Dipos is a dedicated manufacturer, not just a whitelabelling the cheapest Alibaba product.

Might just go with the crappy Supershieldz in the meantime. https://www.amazon.com/Supershieldz-Anti-Glare-Protector-Designed-Released/dp/B09JXVGHB9

Will have to suffer pixel effect till something better comes along. I emailed PowerSupport to bug them, but no dice yet.
