Hi
My iPod Touch screen keeps getting nicked around the edges and I was wondering if anyone had good suggestions for one of those screen protectors. I'm looking for something similar to the plastic covering that comes with the Touch, something that you can't feel but prevents fingerprints and all that stuff. Im wondering if anyone has this and if it works, or any other suggestions.

The invisible shield is what you want. I've had it for almost 2 years on my 30gb black ipod video and there's not a scrach on it. It's on sale too.

And BTW if you install one and run out of solution just add a drop of dawn or something to a cup of water and use that.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it looks like the invisible shield might make the screen not as clear... Anyone have any experience with a clear plastic film that protects from scratches but doesn't leave any residue?
 
You should get the Power Support screen protector you saw at the Online Apple Store. I just applied that to my own iPod touch yesterday and it is the best. The surface is amazingly smooth and it won't leave smudges or fingerprints behind. My roommate has an invisible shield on his ipod touch and says that he likes the Power Support protector better. Also, it's a whole lot easier to apply than the invisible shield. No need to spray a solution or anything.
 
I use some leftover Palm screen protectors that I used on my several Palm PDA's. I had to custom-cut it, but it works like a charm. I also purchased one of those Belkin Silicone Sleeve cases from Circuit City, and now the whole thing is protected. I'm very comfortable "front-pocketing" it, even with keys or change in the same pocket. (I NEVER "back-pocket" any PDA.)
 
I feel like there is kind of a grainy look at certain angles, but it hardly hampers me from enjoy videos. It does a great job of cutting down glare. I suppose if the crystal set prevented fingerprints and smudges as well as the anti-glare I'd consider it. I'm a big fan of the Power Support sets, either one.
 
ok thanks for the answers but I have one more question... is the home button difficult at all to push?
 
all right i got the crystal set.... i havent opened it yet however. Is is worse than the anti glare at preventing fingerprints and stuff like that? Is it worth returning it for the anti-glare? Thanks
 
Can you define "nicked around the edges?"

Is it that black edge, or is the screen actually getting damaged? If the screen is actually getting damaged, what are you doing to hurt it? This iPod Touch (larger image) was shipped from China the first day they were shipping (picture taken Feb 12) and screen damage is minimal with no protectants.

Can you provide a photo?
