Anyone that's getting the Ultra: Have you found screen protectors for it yet?

Will try to add links as they're discovered:

Why would you need one?
For me the whole point of getting stainless steel watch over the cheaper ones is that you don’t need a screen protector. The ultra should be even less needing of one.
because it doesn’t hurt anything. i put mine through hell and these little stickers have kept micro scratches off all may watches since S1.

If you can't provide an answer why even respond... One of the biggest pet peeves... Someone asks a simple question, looking for input and gets a response asking why.

your question doesnt yield simple answers sir. thats one of my pet peeves....
we all understood. this is more of a you problem. his question was simple. yes many of us will use one but there are none available. most of us will likely run existing 45mm versions as they are simple adhesives. not sure why you chimed in without anything to contribute.

I do apologise. I did not intend to trigger a “pet peeve”.
My reply was wishing to engaging in a conversation as I would were we physically in a room together. That is, after all, what a forum means to replicate.
My reply contained the information that
a) I didn’t believe you would need one and wished to share that info in case it helped you and my belief was correct.
b) I was curious that perhaps you know it needed one more than I and could reply thusly.

I’m sorry if I didn’t reply with questions directly and in black and white rather than implying them in a more conversational manner.
I happen to be well aware that others have “pet peeves” around people being overly picky about other peoples posts in the same way you have been about mine. In fact, I expect probably nearly every post on this entire forum is against someone’s “pet peeve” in some way. Perhaps just allow others to talk and chime in without being so judgemental.

Without wishing to ruffle more feathers on this topic, perhaps someone can enlighten me - as a vintage and contemporary watch collector the title somewhat peaked my interest.
Not owning one I must confess to knowing very little about Apple watches, and the question I ask is don't most models these days come with sapphire crystal screens? I'm asking because even many low-end quartz and mechanical watches these days have a sapphire crystal, they're incredibly hard and extremely scratch resistant. I install screen protectors to some of my watches with softer and more vulnerable mineral glass even those with larger dials, and the cost is just a few dollars.
I would therefore certainly expect any Apple watch approaching or especially exceeding $1k to have a sapphire crystal screen, which imho would lead to any additional screen protection as superfluous.

For a real example, last year I did some hiking which involved going slot canyons. These canyons are really tight to go through and can easily rip up anything if not careful. At the time I had a Garmin. The bezels ended up getting some nice patina scratches. Thankfully I was careful enough so that the screen remain flawless. But those rocks could have easily gave the screen scratches, sapphire material or not.

I wouldn’t wear a Rolex Explorer or any similar watch for the activity I did, unless I was intentionally adding to the story of the watch.

Not sure if I’d put a screen protector on the Ultra. Currently using really good ones on my S4.
As far as a reason to use them…
Sapphire can still be scratched. I have a nice dive watch that I used for many years before I started using Apple Watches. It has a sapphire crystal but my managed to get a scratch on it. I was PO’d!

He shouldn't be on the internet if he has so many pet peeves....

i’ve used the UAG scout case on my watch when i lift weights. it’s material doesn’t scratch and it slides on and off easily. it protects it from the dumbbells

I just ordered some Rinogear 49mm from their site. They have them on Amazon but they might not be here in time for 9-23.

They are wet install. I have been using them on all our watches. They’re fantastic.

I want to protect my investment.

Thanks for sharing this. My watch won’t be here until the end of October so this is perfect for me (I got from Amazon)

Thanks! I've been using the cheap Zaggs for my series 6 then 7. One of the things I've learned with their wet install is that you can dry install them just fine also.

Hey, thanks for the recommendation! I also picked them up so I have something for when the watch arrives. I figure it can't hurt.

I remain exceptionally dubious about screen protectors for this watch, but then I can’t stand them on phones either, if they don’t bother you then absolute correct with the “why not” comments. That said, with the number now interested and the comments here, I have ordered one.
Went for a Matt ultraskin as from OP initial post. Not sure matt was the right call though, anyone used Matt on an Apple Watch before?
