Screen Replacement on 2G: accidently removed GSM & WIFI antenna sockets

I was replacing my 2G screen/digitizer and while disconnecting the GSM & WIFI antennas - I accidently pulled the sockets from the communications board.

Is there anyway to repair or reattach these parts? Obviously don't want to buy a new board as that would run at least $100. Anyone think a small dab of gel superglue would work

No. If you actually pulled the port off, then you'd need to resolder it. Glue will not make an electrical connection.

At this point, I would just consider it a loss. I'm sorry to say that but I've been through the same situation... screen replacement on 2G which ended up costing me a whole new iPhone. However, you could always try to find some soldering shop and see if they'd try to resolder it for $20 or $30. Worth a shot. (I wouldn't try to do it yourself, those ports are VERY small and are definitely not for anyone who hasn't had a lot of experience, myself included, to resolder.)

Thanks for the advice... I guess I was hoping that the parts being in contact would create a connection and then the glue would hold in place... but that probably isn't a very reliable solution... assuming it even worked at all.

You've already messed it up without taking it to get resoldered somewhere else so where's the harm in breaking it even more? lol

Only problem is the sensitiviy when soldering onto a PCB such as the iPhone's as any excess heat put on the board will ruin the layers inside it and you are basically screwed then.

Take some pics if you can of the 'pulled off' socket.

Uploaded some pics... one of the board... without the sockets...
with the tiny socket next to the SIM tray and a Canadian Quarter for size reference... back side and front side of the socket.

The thought of me soldering that little socket on is crazy. I had a hard enough time soldering the battery wire...
