Having picked up my new iPad Pro 12.9 today I feel the screen resolution could really do with being increased. At 264ppi it’s lagging behind some of the competition I.e Samsung. Maybe I’ve got use to the iPhone x’s OLED screen. Does anyone feel the same? Reading the reviews I can’t see much complaints or on the forum.

It’s not something that concerns me to be honest. It looks good enough when I’m using it so I don’t think about it.

That’s even when moving between the X OLED and my 12.9” Pro.

That’s the only reason I thought I’d reply. Just because I’ve never looked at it and thought, you know what this screen needs...... :D

People are usually fine with it, because at that size you won't hold the device as close as you would your phone.

I agree about the screen resolution. I’m using the 11” iPad Pro and I think it needs an increase as well. It looks slightly pixelated at times. Probably not going to happen for another 2-3 years though...

You are farther away than a mobile phone so i have never noticed a issue with DPI. Even on the older 12.9. I don’t really understand people with 600 DPI phones. I notice no diffference but maybe that’s me and my eyes suck ass.

Screen looks great to me. OLED would eat the battery quicker or they’d have to make it heavier and larger to compensate.
