Screen Rotation Lock slider... mutes my ipad!?

When I slide it downward, the Ipad mutes... I don't think it's supposed to do that is it?

Is this a configurable option? Or did Apple miss the Rotation Lock 'rework' in mfg??

Try turning your iPad off or resetting it to factory settings, if they don't work I dot know what you should do.

Back in janurary apple originally said it was a mute lock switch, but then they quietly changed it to a screen rotation lock before launch, it seems to be that somehow you got an iPad with the older firmware
My guess is that whenever apple releases the updatemad it will change to screen rotation lock

Or you can wait ten years and it will probably become a collectors item
