After updating my MBP (MacBookPro16,1, - 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7) to Sonoma, the screen saver Lock Screen will not accept my password. Fortunately it has Touch ID, so I can use that, but curious if others have seen this issue. It is managed by Airwatch so there is no switch user option on the Lock Screen, just the password prompt. It is also bound to AD so guessing those factors enter into the issue but this problem did not exist prior to Sonoma.

The password works fine to login and to unlock things in System Prefs, just not from the Lock Screen.

I am seeing this in my environment with those who moved to Sonoma early. A reboot fixes the issue short term. Searching around there are a bunch of people having the same issue and Apple has not acknowledged the problem from what I can see.

That sounds like something wrong with Airwatch. Bring it to the attention of your IT department while they wait for an update to AirWatch.

I've been having this issue on macOS 14, and moved to 14.1 b3 to see if the issue is fixed. So far so good!

What I'm seeing: I come back and move my trackpad to unlock my 2018 Intel Mac mini (does not happen on my M1 MBP), and although I am able to enter my Password Manually or acknowledge the unlock on my Watch, I see a spinning wheel and the Mac never unlocks and eventually reverts back to the Screensaver.

I thought I was getting somewhere by disabling the option to use my Watch to unlock (which sucks) and stopped using the app Amphetamine. Seemed to be working fine until just recently, so I'm trying 14.1
