screen savers

is it know if the iPhone will have screensavers? even my crapola cell has them. it would be nice if they were osx screensavers! Also do you think the ipod part of the phone have a visualizer? that would be sweet also. how about a good EQ?

i don't think there's really a need for screensavers as the screen seems to go to sleep and lock pretty quick. i've never really understood the need for screensavers on any phone actually. what's the point?

You know. That's something that kind of bugged me while I was watching the keynote again the other night.

Do you have to turn the phone off when not in use? If so, when you turn it on, do you also have to unlock it? Why two layers of "security"? Will it turn on that easily in your pocket?

If it's off, will it still let you know when you get a call or SMS? If not, then how will the screen act while it's locked? Will it go dark after a few seconds until you touch it? What if it's in your pocket? Will it remain off thanks to the proximity sensor or will it keep turning on and off?

it is the same way with any non-flip phone!

you lock it to prevent accidental input in your pocket, or carrying bag!

Right, but non-flip phones don't have a large touch activated screens. I'm concerned about battery life while it's in my pocket.

put it to sleep... it it accidentally gets hit in your pocket, then it should go back to sleep after a bit,

but it begs the question. with the sensor in it, that turns the screen off when it is close to your face, will the screen even come on at all?

When you put it to sleep (via sliding across the screen) it locks the screen until it is unlocked. I find it highly unlikely that you could swipe the screen in the right spot with the right range of motion to unlock it in your pocket.

On all the demos I have seen, you either have to turn it on at the top, or click the home button, then slide your finger. I doubt you can do that in your pocket, unless you are Criss Angel.

It has a hold button correct? In that case if it was put to sleep just flip the hold button, and it wouldn't allow any inputs like the iPod.
