Anybody with the 12'9 iPad Pro and iPadOS 16 beta that could make screenshots of normal screen size resolution and the display scaling mode set to highest (more space) and post both here so we can compare and how much of a difference it is?

I'd greatly appreciate! Thanks

Can I enable this on an 11" M1 iPad Pro? I'm only seeing the usual Normal and More Space options.

***Edit: My bad, the More Space option increases the information density. Good feature, glad it's here.

That's annoying - I was hoping to be able to set it to 'more space' and to see if the 11" pro could then show 3 column layouts, especially in mail.

What does 'more space' look like in the mail app? Are you able to see 3 columns (folder list, email list, and email content?). Currently the iPad Pro 11" can only show 2 columns (email list and email content)

  • Display scaling mode: Available on iPad Air (5th generation), iPad Pro 12.9-inch (5th generation), and iPad Pro 11-inch (3rd generation)
It says our models are compatible, maybe I'm doing something wrong. Hopefully someone will chime in.

***Edit: Wow, I'm dumb, More Space is the option to show more info. Whoops!

No extra columns, everything is just smaller/info density is higher.

Thanks - I presume pressing the 'Mailboxes' button at the top doesn't allow it to be pinned ?

Are you able to share a couple of screenshots comparing? Thanks again

No pinning, no. Here are some screenshots, don’t think I’m doxxing myself

Question, do you still get the regular (non-Stage Manager) iPad multitasking on iPadOS 16? What does side-by-side Safari look like with More Space enabled? Thanks!

Thanks - that second screenshot shows all 3 columns on the screen - does it stay like that? Seems like it does allow 3 columns when in 'more space' mode, assuming that's what being shown on your screenshot?

Edit: this screenshot shows the 3 columns I was hoping for - this currently doesn't work on the iPad pro 11", but it does on the 12.9" (the mailboxes list on the left hadn't side disappears currently when you tap on an email)
