So I'm really interested in getting an ATV. I figure getting a used one for a decent price would be a solution for playing some 720p files of mine. But there are a few things I would like to further look into...
1) This is the biggest thing for me at the moment: Screen Sharing Hack. Let me explain. I have seen some hacks that allow people to download torrents directly to the ATV. This makes me suspect that theoretically someone could write code to allow for other transfer applications, such as screen sharing capabilities. I'm not to familiar how screen sharing is implemented but I figured I'd ask here... any hopes?
2) I know that Apple says that files must be encoded at 5Mbps or less but what if some files are a bit higher 6-7, would ATV be able to play them?
... Im sure my second question has been beaten to death, but as you can see from my title, I'm more interested in the former question, so before I get a 'search' answer for the 2nd, I've probably already done so.
