I can't screen share to my 2021 MacBookPro m1 max macOS 12.0.1.

On the m1max I see the screen share icon in the menu bar as if the connection has been successfully established but either I get a blank black screen on the other Mac a 2018 MPB 13 and/or a 2014 MBP 13. Or this forever

When I abort the user disconnected message is displayed.

The MBP m1 max has been rebooted or crashed several times (other unrelated issues) so a restart doesn't solve the problem. And of course, screen sharing is enabled.

Anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas how to resolve?

Does it work the other way, seeing the 2021 MBP on your other Macs?

What OS are you using on the remote Macs?

Have you tried using a Jump Desktop - there is a trial version? I’ll admit that suggestion is a tad biased as that is what I intend to use when my new MBP arrives…

No problems from m1max to others.
The 2018 mbp 13 is on Mac OS 12 the other is Big Sur.
Haven’t tried jump drive yet.

I’ve noticed people reporting issues with network drive access and monitor connectivity that they didn’t get with Big Sur - so I wonder if this too is a Monterey “bug”.

OK. I thought I'd stop by here first and see if anyone else is experiencing this issue. I'll call apple support and see where that goes and report back.

I got it working by simply toggling ScreenSharing off/on in preferences. I should of thought about that long before now
Thanks for the help.
