Just curious to get some opinions about the X's screen size coming from anyone that is used to a plus, and has actually spent a bit of time with an X. We all know about the actual differences in the screens, dimensions etc, but just wondering about how it actually feels when using it. Does the screen feel smaller? Or just different?

I've compared the case and screen protector I received to the size of the 7 Plus screen, this portion shouldn't be an issue. I'll closely monitor the battery life and report back with the results. I could always carry around smaller, battery charger if it falls short.

Coming from a 6S+ on 9.3.5 and getting 11-12 hours of usage time. It will be an issue if I'm getting 6-8 hours on an X.
If you're on iOS 9.3.5, I think any upgrade you make to a current version of iOS is going to cause you a concern.

I went from the iPhone 6 Plus to the iPhone 7. My wife had an iPhone 6 the entire time I had the plus and whenever I’d have to use her phone it felt tiny, but once I got my 7 I didn’t even notice the difference within a few hours. I complained for years about the small size of iPhones when everyone was like “3.5 inches is the perfect size” or “what do you mean it’s still small, they just increased it to 4 inches!!” I couldn’t imagine a screen too big for me. I always loved the screen size of the Plus but it made it difficult to run up stairs two at a time or to squat with the phone in my pocket, and I had trouble getting my phone out of my pocket when I was sitting in a car, so I tried the 7 and it wasn’t nearly as bad as I feared. I even read threads on here about people going from the Plus to the SE and being perfectly content (although I have a hard time believing I’d be ok with that). Anyway, the point of my response is that I think we’ll rapidly adapt to the X. I haven’t used it yet, but it’s got more real estate than the 4.7” and I managed to let go of my Plus in favor of that, so I feel pretty confident you’ll get used to it very quickly.
[doublepost=1509629191][/doublepost]And as far as battery life, the X is supposed to be similar to the Plus, but even going from the 6+ to the 7, I have adapted. The big difference is I never used to charge my phone in the middle of the day and now I always charge my phone on my way home from work. Or if I have the day off, then I may have to charge my phone while I’m getting ready to go out for the evening, but honestly it hasn’t really affected me much at all.

I had a 6 Plus, with a 7 being the most recent.

The Roman-Numeral-Ten is Just The Right Size ®️™️©️.
With Reachability enabled it is very useable one-handed.

The one thing I miss is the landscape layouts of many apps, including the homescreen landscape layout.

I’ve owned a plus size iPhone for 3 years before I bought the iPhone X.

I prefer the X size over the plus. I was a little hesitant that the screen may seem a little small but after 5 minutes it just felt right.

I hold my Plus now and it just looks awkward. Just my two cents.

I went from a 7 Plus (which I still have) to the X.
No problems at all. I like the X better. For me more comfortable to use.
Though I don’t keep all types of battery stats, I can say for sure that the X (have had it for a week and the first week is always used a lot more than normal, haha) has better battery life than my 7 Plus.

I've used the Plus models since the 6. Even had the 8 Plus for a short bit.

The X, at first, is noticeably smaller because of the width. But after I became accustomed to the size, I feel like it is the perfect compromise between maximizing screen real estate and comfortability in the hand.

The only complaint I can think of is with the keyboard. It definitely takes some getting used to after typing on a Plus for so many years. That said, it is pretty convenient to be able to text one-handed.

The overall immersion of the X makes it worth it, I promise you.

OH, and battery life is better than the 7 Plus from my experience, but it does not touch the witchcraft that is the 8 Plus.

Bought the 8 Plus on release day and then got the X on release day as well. I used the X exclusively up until the lest moment of day 14 and returned it. Haven't looked back. It felt like I had a 4.7" phone again. The aspect ratio is awful for watching videos in landscape. The keyboard felt tiny compared to the Plus. To me the difference is night and day. The X may be larger on paper, but in real life use it felt like a major step back to me. Granted I am 6'8" tall so it isn't like I have small hands. I can one hand everything on the Plus so that is an advantage to me. But I will take that 'outdated, chin and forehead wielding boring design' over the 'latest and greatest iPhone' every day of the week. Maybe something come next fall will change my mind. I would give you my thoughts on Face ID too, but you didn't ask lol.

Mine finally arrives tomorrow. Been on the Plus size since 2014, so really hoping the X isn't gonna feel like a toy.

I don't think it will feel like a toy to you, but my experience was it did feel significantly smaller in my hand compared to the iPhone Plus models over the years. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but that would depend on what you appreciate also. For me, the only thing I didn't like about the iPhone X, was it that much smaller than what I expected. Which is why I look more forward to the rumored 6.5 inch iPhone X Plus in 2018.

Going from a 7+ I don't find the screen too small. Weirdly, it seems bigger, even though I know it's not. Possibly an illusion created by the edge-to-edge display. The form factor is brilliant, though. It comfortably fits in my jeans pocket whereas the 7+ felt bulky.

Definitely way more comfortable in the hand with the smaller form factor than the Plus model was. That was the one issue with iPhone Plus models, was one handed used was very difficult because of the width.

Mine arrives on Monday so I’ll see. I’ve seen a few in person. Sometimes it seems like the size difference isn’t too much but at other times the phone seems different.

Despite all my reservations I’ve bought the X. I felt like I didn’t have much of a choice. I tried the note 8 and whilst it’s a great phone it doesn’t run iOS or fit in with my other Apple devices. The 8 plus has missing features and is outdated in design where to agree or not. The techie in me couldn’t get the 8 plus.

No issues for me. I always felt the Plus to be a little too large anyway. At first the X will feel narrow, as it is, but then after a few minutes it will feel just right. Unless the X Plus has some major upgrades over the regular sized X, I don't think I want to go back to using such a huge phone.

I notice the change when browsing. With 6+, I usually use landscape mode. For the X, I have to use portrait because it’s narrower and web page don’t seem to fit as well. Still, the screen is much better on the X and it would hard going back. My only major complaint is X weight. It still feels heavy after 3 weeks.
