Screen Smudge/Discoloration

There appears to be a smudge on part of my screen but it doesnt come off when I clean my screen. It really only appears when there is a light color on that portion of the screen but it is endlessly annoying.

Any way to fix this or would Applecare cover it?

Sounds like you scratched your screen. I did the same, Apple probably wont cover it, but you can always ask.
