Screen Spanning on original mini?

I have seen the posts on Screen Spanning on an iMac and I have seen it at a buddies place. I now have an iMac and the appropriate cable to span as well. I was wondering about a link to the proper "hack" so I can set this up.

I was also wondering (the point of this post) can spanning be done on an original mac mini?
if so how?

thanks. I need to run keynote on a separate projector and want to see the main screen on my mini and the presentation on the projector screen.

iMac: Link, use at your own risk (but I have it and it seems harmless)

Mini: Not in the same sense as the iMac, no. It only has one output port. The only option I know of is to use a device such as Matrox's DualHead2Go (see this review of using it on a Mini).
