iPhone 8/Plus Screen time isn't shown

Hi! I've had my iphone for a week. I updated it to the latest iOS version a few days ago. On the first day the screentime worked when I swiped left (I saw it on the screen), now it doesn't. When I swipe left where I'd also see the newsfeed, it says: The screentime would be shown here.
But it won't show it. I did reset the whole phone but that didn't change anything.
As you know, I'm stíll worried about having a less quality iphone since I've already had some issues with it.
What could be the reason? Could it still be meaning a hardware defect?

There are excellent user guides available online that can teach you all the features your iPhone has and how to use them. Sounds like either you have the widget disabled or you need to check screentime in settings and make sure it’s set up properly. If screentime is working in settings, you might try to remove the widget and then re-add it using the edit button at the bottom of the widget screen..

Well, I think I'm pretty well informed about the iphone
But I've always had an android phone and I never had issues. That's why I wanted to ask if it is considered normal that it sometimes has some faults.
All the things you mentioned above have been done.

You’re referring to the screentime widget I believe. But even using screentime within Settings it sometimes doesn’t show any usage for me until I click the 7-day period, it then starts to show up properly, but only for a little while.

Just an FYI; There are still numerous bugs with screentime, even under iOS 12.1.2. I have an open ticket on a different issue in screentime, the Apple rep I spoke with last said they were aware of the numerous bugs with it. It’s essentially still in beta.
