I note Apple only shows the diagonal size of iphones. In the specification it gives the external width and height of iphones. I am trying to find the maximum screen width between an 8+ and a Xmax. I could not find that information. Does anyone know which one has a wider screen? Since moving from a 7+ to an X, I have missed the larger width of the 7+ and am keen to get the widest screen in the iPhone family.

though it feels still narrower.

also the notch and the rounded edges make the screen feel more uneven. i was not impressed with the max.

It's 2.69" for the Plus vs. 2.71" for Max.

Just divide the horizontal resolution by the PPI.

Apple makes all these details available. People just don't bother to look

Thanks for the developer link. I visited my local Apple store and even there no one had information on the screen size and suggested I use the measure app in iOs 12 to determine the screen width.

Are they really that brainwashed that they believe it can measure the sub millimeter difference?
