Hey Guys and Gals,
I had just started doing some research on VNC clients for my iPhone and iPad when Screens came out...needless to say, I bit the bullet and made the purchase while it was $10 off and now I am having a bit of a hard time configuring both the app and the Screens Connect software on my MBP for remote access.

I have taken control of my MBP while both devices (remote device & either iOS device) have been on the same network, but I haven't had any luck when trying to access my computer from either another wifi network, or over 3G.

Any help sure would be appreciated, because I'm sure not going to ditch Screens for LogMeIn or another equivalent app just yet.

I am also not able to use Screens Connect over 3G. The error message is "Invalid Address or Port."

I can access my MacBook from my iPhone/iPad through my home WiFi network.

I have configured my router (Airport Extreme) but haven't gone into the modem configuration. My DSL provider is Verizon.

Update:

I went into my modem configuration (192.168.1.1) and enabled Port Forwarding and Static NAT. I'm not sure if one or both did the trick, but the next time I tried connecting on 3G, it worked.

I have the Westell 6100 modem.

One key thing to note is you must enable UPNP on your router. If that's not enabled, their Screens Connect Mac app can't properly forward the ports for you. :)
