Can anybody tell me if screensaver's can cause retention on a new 24in imac. Having just installed Earthdesk, i am wondering if this will harm the screen

I believe the un-scientific answer is yes they can. I don't know what you would search for but somewhere in the forum someone discussed having a new iMac screen hurt by an image being up too long. I think that is what you are writing about, if not; never mind.
