I want to send a screenshot, I've got the picture thanks to Dock, I put it on my mac desktop then try upload, but get the error message 'This PNG image has the incorrect file extension'....the image has IMG_9010.JPG. Anyone see what I'm doing wrong?

sometimes when you change the extension all you are really doing is adding the .jpg to the name. hold the apple button and press I to open up the preferences of the picture. then click show file extension then make sure it is correct.

I always upload using QuickShareIt, that way it always works, no matter what format :)

I just posted a couple of threads for the first time tonight with screen shots.

I used :apple:-shift-3 to take a picture of the screen.
This puts a PICT onto your desktop.
This is automatically converted to a PNG when you upload it onto MR using the paperclip icon (remember to hit 'upload' after browsing the image).

* EDIT * Apologies, I didn't realise screen shots were now taken as PNG files (hence no 'automatic' conversion required.)
Picts, now that's harking back to my System 7.5 days....
