How do you capture a screenshot of video that was recorded using the iPhone 12?

The video looks really bright and vibrant but any screenshots turn out very dark and dull.

Im using the old press side button and volume up to do the frame grabs but the quality is as I said very poor and not reflective of the video on screen.

Sorry if it’s a dull question, I’ve comeback to iPhone after a stint over in Samsung world so there maybe an obvious ‘proper apple’ way to get screen grabs from iOS recorded videos but I can’t find it and googling hasn’t turned up the answer.

thanks

Got same issue 😩

Mine seem to come out fine but takes about 5 seconds to actually take the screen shot after pressing the power and volume up button. Anyone else having the same trouble?

My video is, so that’ll be it in my case thanks. Pity as it looks so good in the video 😩
