Scribble. Am I doing it wrong ?

When I saw it being demo’d I thought great finally a reason for me to get the Apple Pencil as visions of free hand composing an email floated in my head.

So now here are the issues I’m having. Line breaks and returns. I write out a sentence. Great. Try under the line and it continues on the same line above. Hmm ok. I write towards the bottom of the of screen and it gives me a line break but two, starting a new paragraph. The only way I can figure out how to do a carriage return is via the onscreen keyboard. Anyone having better successful at composing an email ?

Text field input. Super! But not so super is ones that are on the button of your screen like messages. Puts you in a awkward position trying to move your hand off the iPad to write. It’d be great to be able to somehow move input fields.

So far my swipe keyboard is a ton better for text stuff. Granted it’s beta and I’m sure there will be tweaks but is anyone else having issues doing stuff with Scribble efficiently ? The other improvements to the pencil experience has been good though.

I'm having the same exact problem!! Any one have any input? Not sure if this is just something apple needs to work the kinks out of, or if there's a work around - maybe with a shortcut or setting. Also having the same issue with bullets & lists, and generally having written text show up in weird places.

That has been my issue exactly. Somehow, when I’m trying to scribble out a reply in Messages, I end up invoking the keyboard (the actual keyboard, not the little one that shows up when you’re writing) and the entire text field moves up a few inches on the screen. I can still write in the text field, but it’s super annoying when this happens. Sometimes for longer messages the keyboard will go back and forth several times, meaning I have to reposition my hand each time.
