I have a series of commands (dscl, etc) I can use in a script to join a mac to an Open Directory server and join the kerberos realm.

Since I am new to Apple scripting, I'm not sure what editor to use, what extension to put on the script, etc.

can anyone help me out?

If they are Terminal commands, you don't necessarily have to end them with any extension.

You can just enter them into a file (using any editor such as vi) and run the file, so long as it has execute permissions.

If I put them all into a file and gave it a .command extension, then did

./joinod.command

would that work? Or did I need to use a different extension?
