Keith Blount, the developer of the writing app Scrivener recently confirmed that the iOS app has just entered Alpha.

My question to this forum is: for a writing iOS app of the complexity of Scrivener, how long typically does it take for the app to go from alpha, beta to release?

I ask the question here since the Scrivener developers won't give time estimates.

See the literatureandlatte.com/forum post entitled "Scrivener for iOS - When?" dated Wed Feb 10, 2016

Scrivener for iOS has been in development for a good few years now. If they're just in the alpha stage, you're probably looking at another year before this ships. They aren't going to release it before or just after iOS 10.

They moved me to Storyist with their delay and I couldn't be happier now.
