Scroll Bar Behaviour Question

With the default "Show scroll bars automatically based on mouse or track pad" selected, should the scroll bars be visible all the time even when no external mouse or trackpad is connected?

Wondering as they are visible all the time now when set to this setting, and I'm pretty sure this used to not be the case. Using a 2015 13" rMBP on 10.11.3.

It's a bug that I've reported, and they've confirmed I'm not the only one experiencing that.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one! I was beginning to worry if something might be wrong with my track pad causing it to not be properly recognized by the OS.
