Well my Imac is only 6 months old and the scroll stoped working somewhat. At times it will scroll up but not down, i rebooted the computer but still nothing. Is it a dead mouse or what ? Thanks......

If you're talking about the little scroll ball then it could be that dust got stuck inside it. I've heard different solutions to this. Basically it just needs to be cleaned and I think that rubbing alcohol is the best solution. You can also use compressed air. Be sure not to over saturate the cloth when using alcohol. Just get it slightly damp and roll it on the ball. Make sure you move the ball all the way around to get everything. If you use compressed air you just move the ball while blowing the air into it.

mouse not working

Hi my new imac is only just over a month old. I had the same problem' i called apple support and i was told to get a "lent free cloth turn the mouse upside down and roll the ball for about a min". I did this and no problem it started working. I not sure if there is other ways but it worked for me. I would also like to say that the response was great.:)

Happens all the time. How frequently depends on your eating habits and hygiene, pets, house keeping frequency and anything else that will get on the mouse or your finger.

Get a lint free cloth turn the mouse over and roll the mouse across it a few times. Has always fixed it for me.
