Why does scrolling in Safari suck? How long has it been like this?

If you're not sure open up Chrome and compare. Safari is.... sticky? It's terrible.

Your description of how scrolling is pretty vague. I have no problems with scrolling on my 2013 11" MacBook Air. It's absolutely smooth.

Edit: I see this is an iOS 9 thread. Still I don't notice any scrolling issues on my 6S+.

Gotta be in it to win it
What is the issue with scrolling on Safari? Are you referring to the speed on an iphone vs. the speed of scrolling on an ipad? If so, it's been like that for a while now, at least starting in IOS 8.

Sounds like the following threads should address it all:

Thanks officer. Very helpful.

I'll be more specific for those interested in conversation. Scrolling in Safari is smooth. It's not stuttering or anything like that.

My issue is the way it slows and stops. It's very abrupt compared to Chrome, where you scroll and it slowly glides to a stop. Just seems like a much more refined experience, IMO.
[doublepost=1454265963][/doublepost]In before "Just use Chrome then!!". Safari is better in every single way that matters to me.

I guess providing relevant information is somehow bad now? And here I thought information was being sought, I guess not.

No problem here on the latest beta, I was on 9.0 Jailbroken for a few months and had this problem and various other bugs that caused me to update.

Sorry. Maybe I was a bit harsh. I was looking for a discussion rather than old posts.

I have no scrolling of stuttering problems. Safari is very fast to me

See my quote below.

I believe the OP is talking about the weight (inertia/momentum) of the scrolling.

This. Thank you.

Well, quite a few of them aren't exactly old and provide a fair bit amount of information that might or might not come up in the discussion here, thus the linking to provide existing thoughts about it all.
