what kind of mouse do you have?

At home i once tried plugging in my micrsoft internet scroll wheel button, and it was horrid..it was extremly slow and just was not pleasent. Ever since my logitech mx1000, it feels great. There are 2 options, regular scrolling that scrolls at a even rate, or accelerated scrolling (what i use), the faster u roll, the faster it scrolls..n it seems to work fine..

it really does depend on the mouse you have.

I used to have a microsoft intellimouse, and now have a logitech mx-510, and both have come with their own software, part of which lets you choose how many lines you want to scroll with every "click".

If you're that annoyed by the scrolling given to your mouse, I'd search to see if there is software for it, get a new mouse that does have software, or download USB overdrive, which lets you customize most products that work through the USB port.
