Bought a new iPad 9th generation and found out it has a small scuff (maybe 1/2mm) just above the Lightning port.

First time this happens to me with an Apple product.

Does Apple allow for an exchange in this case?

It also has 2/3 dead pixels, but they are difficult to see and don’t bother me too much.

Thanks.

But does Apple allow to return it for this kind of stuff?

Has anyone returned it for something like this?

My mini 6 came on Friday and had a scratch on the screen. 4-6 weeks for replacement. Sucks :(

I'm still waiting on news. Device is at technical service, where they will inspect it.

I told them about the three dead pixels and the scuff.

It's been over a week and still no news. They will also talk to Apple (in Spain), so I hope they acknowledge that getting a new iPad with a scuff is not acceptable for a new customer.

Does anyone know also how many dead pixels a screen has to have for Apple to allow an exchange? They won't tell me, but with 3 I know I did exchange once before an Air.

With 2 also?

It hasn’t been 15 days yet. You should have returned it for another one.

mine came with a scratch on the screen so I immediate ordered another one and will return this one at the end of 15 days next week.

don’t let greedy Despicable apple take advantage of you. Even one pixel is unacceptable.

The commenter mentions Spain. It’s possible that people in countries other than the US don’t have the same return options that we do here in the US. I saw one person, don’t remember the country, who said that once you buy it, you own it, no returns allowed.

I'm the 14 return window. I went to the store where I bought it and asked for an exchange. The policy there is to send any new apple device to the technical service, where they will inspect the device with apple to see if it has defects, and then allow an exchange or return.

It is very annoying. I wish we had the same laws as US. Where I live there's no apple stores, so this is the way to ask for refunds or exchanges. It wasn't like this before, it's something new.

I've been waiting for over a week now. I hope to get news tomorrow.
