SD cards no longer working on new iPad Pro

like many of you, I got one of the new iPad pros. On launch day I tested it with a USB-c hub that I had and successfully imported photos off an adult card to the iPad. I’ve been trying to use the same sad card and hub today and it’s giving me the error that the storage cannot be read on this device. Anyone else having a similar issue?
