What is your opinion ? , simple sd , platinum , or pro . A nature photographer friend say's just use what comes with your camera . How do you feel ?

A faster card will let you shoot in more rapid succession.
I use Sandisk Extreme III cards

If you are shooting landscapes then it doesn't matter unless you want to dump the images to your computer quickly.

If you are shooting sports with a high speed (PRO) body then you need the fast cards and a fast reader.

If neither, then it doesn't matter at all.

Agreed, you only need speed if your need to write fast. But, if you're taking pis of kid, pets etc you will probably need speed at some point.
