SDK.. Why no plugins?

Frankly I love plugins because they let me customize applications to suit specifically my needs, so for all you developers, why won't apple let people develop plugins? that would fix so many things: video player (on the web), flash would be an easier add on for those who want it, mms could be easily added to the text app, even horizontal key boards... what am i missing? (in case you haven't noticed I no very little about developing)

I am not sure I understand what you mean by plugins.
