SDXC card on MacPro 1,1?

Hi. I recently bought a SanDisk SDXC card for my new camera. I have a card reader plugged into one of the USB ports but it fails to read the card. Actually I get a message that "the computer can't read the card".

Is it something that's got to do with the computer or the card reader?

You probably need to buy a new USB card reader - SDXC is a new, higher density format that older USB card readers won't understand.

I should have said "more recent" instead of "new". SDXC was announced in 2009, but has had some revisions.
