SDXC Support in the new MacBook Air after all?

Hey, according to iFixit's teardown of the new MacBook Air, it uses the Genesys Logic 822 SD-slot controller. If you follow the link, the manufacturer's site says that the GL822 support SDXC cards. I'm wondering why Apple doesn't say that on the Air's site?

Yes, since previous generation's MBA + OS X 10.6.7 or later, you can r/w SDXC.
