Right behind you.
I want to get an SE and an iPad (2018). I want 32G on one and 128G on the other; to save cost.

Should I get the Phone in 32 and the Pad in 128 or vice versa?

Lend me your expertise folks.

Lets just assume no update on either until the end of year; at soonest.

I have that combo (iPad mini though) and this is an easy choice for me: 128 on the iPad 32 on the SE. I put a ton of movies on my iPad as the SE is too small for that kind of content. Works perfectly...for me. YMMV.

Well, assuming you are consuming media and playing games on the iPad, and want to put movies or TV shows on it, then get the biggest memory for the iPad.

I have the same combo except the iPad is a Mini 4/cellular, and I only use my phone my calls, texts, my Apple Watches, music for the car, and the OCCASIONAL email when my Mini is not with me. But I carry both pretty much everywhere.

I think I would go with 128 on the iPad as well, but I would definitely wait til Monday afternoon before I would do anything.

Thanks for the responses. I purchased the 128G iPad (2018) w/ Cellular and the 32G Space Grey SE. Both will be within the 14Day return policy and un-opened (to avoid the restock fee) during the WWDC this week; jic.

If nothing is announced I look forward to plugging these babies in and not looking back until Sept-Oct; at least for the phone. The pad will ideally be kept for a longer period.

I would have gotten 128 for the SE so that I could store more photos, but that’s me.

I went with a 64GB SE and iPad 256Gb because I didn’t want to have to delete stuff when I needed to add a movie or an app. If you think you will be using both a lot then try to shop around and get a great price for the iPad and go with that. Remember these devices also save Messages that include photos too. So try to get 64GB or higher if you will be using them a lot.

I have a 64 SE and 128 iPad

I honestly wouldn’t want any less on either one of them but my personal reason for that is simply that I like to have my entire music library with me.

I always recommend overspending on storage since you can’t change it and it’s really really frustrating to not have enough down the line

If I were buying an SE today I would get a 128

I have the 32GB SE. All my photos are remotely stored. I can’t stand hundreds of photos on my device. That’s litterally all that’s on there. Every week I back them up and delete em.

I think that that is a fine combination.

An ipad is a more powerful device in terms of what it can do. So, I would put the larger capacity there. The iphone is like an accessory for the ipad, something to use when you can't take the ipad with you.

Do you store in the cloud or some other remote device? (if so what?)
Typically throw them on my computer, or just let them backup to Google Photos. Half of my photos are screen shots anyway. I have maybe 250 meaningful photos from the past 3 years of events.

Both devices have arrived and sit here unopened. I feel pretty good about this combo. Now I am brain storming all the scenarios that would cause me to regret this 2 year marriage to AT&T. Welp here goes!

Thanks for the responses.

As long as you’re in a good AT&T coverage area, you shouldn’t regret it. I have AT&T, they are decent down here in south Texas.

I could just Air Drop them to my 128G iPad, correct? I have not used Air Drop before but that is what the net is recommending.

You could, but that sounds pretty tedious, and that also means you have to have your iPad around all the time (when you take pics and when you want to show them).
A better option for you might be cloud photo storage.
