So if you ordered an SE2 from Apple directly, you could NOT put a SIM card from your 11 in it?

Was considering ordering one and just having it as a backup, or just trying it out to see what I think of it, but I'd just want to put my SIM in it - assuming now that's not an option. Am I correct?

iPhones only use nano sim not micro SIM cards.

If you cannot get a new sim for when your phone arrives, you can carefully trim the spare space of the micro sim down so that it fits into the nano SIM card try. There are probably videos on YouTube etc.

"Standard"/Mini SIM (2FF): iPhone, 3G and 3GS

Micro SIM (3FF): iPhone 4 and 4S

Nano SIM (4FF): iPhone 5 and newer

Unless you plan on using a SIM card from 4/4S, this is not an issue.

Problem with this is micro SIM is thicker so it could mess up your SIM card slot.

I just saw that information on the tech specs and was curious - Just wanted to be sure I would have the correct one

Apple has to put that in in case people are upgrading from an older phone that uses the larger micro-SIM.

That said, anyone upgrading from a phone old enough to use a micro-SIM really should get a new SIM card anyway as a SIM card that old likely doesn't support newer technologies such as VoLTE.
