Was anyone successful with their Seagate portable hard drive to enable read/write and MacBook Pro M1? It seems that they don't have a Paragon driver to install for M1 Macs, and only for intel Macs now... any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m having this problem too. I connected a Seagate back up drive formatted as NTFS using their drivers. When I tried to open a final cut project I got permissions errors. Think that might be connected to not being able to write to the drive??!

Can you not use Disk Utility to format it, rather than Seagate's own drivers?
Sorry if I am being naive but I thought that hard drives were universally supported regardless of hardware or software.

I just installed the new build but it's still failing to mount my external hard drives...
Disregard that, it's working now. OS was blocking extensions so I had to boot in security mode and allow it. One observation though: my USB-A to USB-C adaptors do not work, they don't feel like they're "locking" into the Macbook's port. I'm able to read/write only with an Anker hub

hmm mine I downloaded the trial version and mine won't mount... isn't there a build like the ones for intel which is free?

(I have no connection to PARAGON, I am just a customer/user of PARAGON-NTFS):

There is a BETA driver of PARAGON NTFS to test for free:
(go to the bottom of the page where it says)

NTFS for Mac build for Apple Silicon

Download the build

(I did install, works OK - have not tested extensively)

I cannot write to any of my NTFS drives from my Mac Mini M1 unless I format them with Paragon. I can read about half of my current NTFS drives. I hope that Paragon comes up with a fix. There first couple of attempts have been failures.

I just hope Seagate soon comes up with a free M1-version of the Paragon-software (just like the one available for Intel Macs).

Even if the trial works (no luck last time I tried, but maybe booting in safe mode is the solution), it's still a trial that will stop to work after a few days.

I specifically bought a Seagate HDD, because Paragon NTFS For Mac was included...
