Seagate Barracuda XT ST32000641AS iMac 2009 i7

Hello-

Anyone have success upgrading their 2009 i7 iMac with this Seagate 2TB HDD?

I'm concerned with the fan issue. I would prefer not shorting the temp sensor.

If I was you I wouldnt get seagate hard drives. There known to be noisy. I have a seagate hard drive that im going to get replaced on friday because of the noise.

I'm not too concerned about the noise. I replaced my optical drive with an Intel SSD. I'm using the HHD only for my iTunes media and virtual machines.

The 1TB Seagate in my mid-2010 is dead silent - I can't hear it at all and it's right in front of me. I wish I could say the same about the one in my 1TB TimeCapsule (1st model), I can hear that one spin up across the room.
