I heard that only Vista actually make use of the hybrid (the solid state memory)function of these drives - Seagate® Momentus® 5400 PSD hybrid drives extend battery life, increase the longevity of your storage and improve productivity with almost instant boot up and data access. Is that correct? So, there is no support in Leopard for these drives?
Does anyone know if there is a timeline from Apple for support of these drives?
I was originally going to upgrade to one of these drives, but I ended up going with the Momentus 7200 200 GB shock protection version.
So far, I absolutely love it. It is actually quieter than the original Fuj drive. Certainly, a lot faster and more storage space to boot. I can highly recommend it.
