Hi,
I was wondering, how much is the 4th Gen iPod Classic (Photo) 20GB version worth sealed in the box.
As a collector, how much would you pay for it personally?
Also, if you could please tell me valuations for sealed;

Mini 1st & 2nd Gen
Classic 1st, 2nd and 3rd

I'd also be grateful.

Thanks

I can't imagine there's much of a collector's market for an iPod photo. Too many of them were made. Perhaps there is for a first generation iPod, sealed, or a 1st generation mini, sealed.

$130 seems high, even used. I'd say $100 for the sealed one, but I haven't looked it up. A refurbished 32GB touch is $250.

I was just going by prices that I have seen by doing a basic Google search.

One nice feature that the iPod Photo had that the newer iPods didn't have was the option to not add artwork. If there was no artwork, the iPod would use the full screen to display the song info instead of showing a music note like the current Classic does.

Just under 500 views and nobody knows? Surely there's a collector out there who knows the true values???

Do the job yourself ok? Google and ebay could tell you a lot! Most iPods are imo overpriced and will never be sold. ;)
Some people think that because its an apple product, they could charge very high prices for it.
Thats just ridiculous :rolleyes: We're talking about an mp3 player, introduced late 2001.

Just take a look at this guy :eek::eek::confused::rolleyes:

The true value is what someone are willing to pay ok? If you get lucky, two people wants the same iPod and the price skyrockets! It doesn't mean the value is sky high! The next seller could end up very disappointed!

Sell it on ebay! Set a starting bid on 1$, and see what you'll get. THAT'S the true value ok!!

I think of myself as a true collector, with all iPod types in my collection, both boxed and unboxed. I would never buy a sealed one! In my opinion its boring with not being able to touch the iPod and never truly know what's inside the box! I do NOT collect iPods for the value, but rather for my own pleasure and I truly love those little gadgets :D
