Hi,

If you search for something using the spotlight, lets say a Book.
The search result also shows all these random .html files from the iBooks folder.

This is really annoying.
How can I stop spotlight searching that?

Thanks.

System Preferences: Spotlight, uncheck what you don't want.

That only excludes locations, where as doing a search provides results from container files which is annoying. Go to Applications folder type the word disk and it presents html files, jsx, .strings, .h etc.

I realize you can select the + sign and select the kind to search for, but for quick and dirty type searches it gives me too much.
