SEARCHING MESSAGES IN MAIL

I am partially-sighted, and find the buttons in Mail hard to see. For example, if
I want to Reply to a message, I do not use the button, but instead click Message, Reply. I cannot, though, find how to use a strategy of this kind when I want to Compose a message or Search for one. Is it in fact possible to do so ?

– goto "System Settings" (up till macOS Ventura called "System Preferences")
– select "Accessibility"
– under "Vision" select "Display"

Then turn on either or both of the two to find what suits you best:
– "Show toolbar button shapes"
– "Increase contrast"
