secd takes large amount of RAM

I have noticed there's a secd process clogging almost 2,5 GB RAM of my 24. Reboot, PRAM/SMC reset and permission repair do not help. I guess it's some kind of security daemon.

Looking at Console reveals many entries like this:

secd[334]: SecOTRSFindKeysForMessage SecOTRSession key cache was full. Should never happen, spooky.

Can't find this string on Google.

iMac 12,1 with 10.10.1.

From looking at get-info (command-i) on that process in Activity Monitor, it looks like it has something to do with Keychain.

Just a guess, but how about try running Keychain first aid.

Try making a new admin account and login there just to test to see if the issue goes away. If it does that tells you it is something specific to your account.

Also, maybe reset keychain. You will lose all passwords that were saved in Keychain if you reset though.

Hah, I forgot about repairing the Keychain and went right for reset It does seem to help so far, I will report back after a few days.
