I am interested in getting one, just depends on the UK price

If the $199 converts to £199 then I will wait another year, my current one is still functioning perfectly

I'll wait and see what Google deliver. Have been interested in a Nexus 7, so I can try out Android and have a wee tablet for the basics, emails, Facebook, web surfing etc.. in bed where my 15" rMBP can feel a tad too big.

Already sold mine in preparation for the upgrade.

I do hope the rumours are true. The iPad mini is keeping me entertained for now, then ill use both once the new nexus 7 arrives.

correct me if I'm wrong but aren't all android tablets 16:9?

Most Android tablets are based on 16:10 (1280x800 and higher). While I prefer Apples format of 4:3 for web browsing, I can deal with the comprise of 16:10. The tablets that are currently using 16:9 are those running Windows 8.

I'll wait and see too. And if it has great reviews I'll give it a go! :D

There are other aspect ratios available from some manufacturers.

Most of the big manufactureres offer a 16:9 or 16:10 ratio tablet (possibly to avert the wrath of Apple's lawyers!).

I'm still trying to sell my first generation 64GB wifi N7...I got it just to see what Android was like, but I found the small screen too limiting. Have no real gripes about the Google powered stuff really...It just isn't a device I'd use.

A 1080 screen, 2GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 600 would be great :D

I'm expecting a Snapdragon 800. The Tegra 3 was a beast during its time. So I am thinking they will again use another beast CPU. Plus aren't tablets the main target for the Snapdragon 800?

Oh yea completely forgot about the 800, the 600 is the end one aimed at Smartphones right?

We'll see. I would like it to stay the same size with a 8" screen. I was always looking at it and wondering why they wasted so much space on the edges.

If they do that, i just may get one at some point and let the Wife have the other one for herself.

Man that would be perfect. 8" screen in the same enclosure. That would be the perfect way to get rid of those ugly bezels.

Wouldn't it be harder to hold it without triggering something on the screen? If not then I'm all for that. I'm still not sure if I'll get one but I'm definitely interested. I just hope they offer the ones with a data connection at the same time because I hate that my current Nexus 7 doesn't have 3G :(

I would imagine that the increase from 7" to 8" wouldn't really take up too much of the bezel. Especially considering a 1" difference would be spread out in all 4 directions and the fact that the bezel on the current Nexus 7 is already so big.

A slightly larger screen and a slight reduction in weight would be nice.

I don't expect Google to do 4:3 but they could do something like 15:10. Isn't that the aspect ratio of the nexus 4? Any increase in width would be appreciated.

I also hope that this time they properly calibrate display colors. I've gotten used to the colors on my nexus 7 but when I first bought the device I almost thought it was defective.

Kind of hard to sell something that doesn't exist. 64gb Nexus 7?

If they release the next gen for the same price, at roughly the same form factor, with a better display and more storage, it's a no brainer for me. I'd get the cellular model. I do a lot with my current nexus 7, but I got the wifi only which in retrospect I shouldn't have. I actually use it on the go a lot more than I thought I would. Still love my iPad for the house, but the Nexus comes with me to school and work a lot.

How is the app selection for the Nexus 7 compared to your iPad?

iPad wins there for sure. A lot of apps in the Android store are not optimized for the Nexus, or any tablet. In fact when I first got the Nexus last summer I couldn't even download the Amazon app because it wasn't ready yet. Pretty surprising, especially considering Amazon had their WP8 ready on day 1.

But the app selection is very good for the Nexus and it's only going to get better, especially if Google commits to partnering up and making a new Nexus 7(?) every year like it seems they will.
