Hi y'all!
I have mp1,1 up and rocking 10.9 with Tiamo's trick and a little help from SFOTT.
Primary gpu is gtx760, but I'd like to have some cheap low power gpu, which would also show boot screen in case of emergency. Sometimes it would also nice to have additional screen, even without much of acceleration. The card should take only 1 slot, since I'm already having esata & usb3 cards.

What this kind of cards are available?
Have I understood right, that the card needs to have 32bit EFI to show boot screen and 64bit drivers to work in 10.9?
Are there any other options than 8800gt?
Does 10.9 handle AMD & nVidia in same computer better than older os'es?
If it does, is this really the only other option?

Hmm, GT120 is even more expensive than XFX Radeon HD 5770...
So, are you recommending GT120 because ATI & nVidia still can't co-exist in 10.9?

No, because it requires no power
Ah, I see.
Well I can buy cheap cables from amazon...
Gtx 760 takes only one socket from mp's two power sockets. I have also routed power from ODD's 4-pin molex'es years ago when mini-molex cables were really expensive...
I was looking "low power" card just that it wouldn't waste so much electricity, since the card isn't so important.
But I think gt120 is better option than 8800gt since the latter one is said to get very hot and therefore most of those are very near of end of their life.

I used the ATI 2600 XT for a while in my 3,1. It provides boot screen on my 1,1 currently running Mavericks, but it ran alongside my GTX 660 in my 3,1 to provide a boot screen for a while. AMD and NVIDIA can coexist, have been able to for a while.
