I want to add a second monitor to my iMac Late 2015, any suggestion on 27' monitor ? cable thunderbolt/hdmi or VGA ? My friends has HP Pavillon 27xw 27inch Full HD 1080p IPS LED Monitor with VGA and HDMI ports (V0N26AA#ABA), can use it this one ?

I use the 27" Apple Thunderbolt display to match my iMac.
The 27" Apple TB display connects direct to your iMac without any adapters needed.

For a 10 year old monitor, it's "native".

But then I am old school native - prefer the Apple pitch and type font to match that of my Macs...

I have 3 of them and usually pick them up on eBay for less than $250.

Don't you need a cable to connect the 2 Apple monitors ?

I’ve tried a number of monitors with my iMac 27” late 2015, and previous Macs. I find it best to avoid adaptors to stop wake-from-sleep issues. Best seems to be connecting to DisplayPort via Thunderbolt with the appropriate cable is best.
