Hi there,
recently I received my new iMac 27" and have some trouble installing a secondary monitor (LG 29EA93).
This was already difficult with my previous Mac, but with adapted settings through SwitchResX it worked flawlessly.
First I used SwitchResX after initially setting up the iMac and I could see 2 monitors, the iMac (1) and the LG (2). But I couldn't make any changes in setting and later learned that it had to do with SIP that comes with El Capitan.
Anyway in the meantime I moved on with the Migration Assistant and after that I wanted to go back to SwitchResX to fix the setting after disabling SIP. But now another problem appears because the monitor is no longer present in the SwitchResX menu. I'm not sure what is going on but something is different after Data Migration.
How can I get back the monitor in SwitchResX so I can adjust the settings for the LG?
The LG is connected like this DVI out > HDMI in Thunderbolt Dock > iMac (and remember before using Data Migration Assistant it used to worked..
Thanks in advance!
